It’s not uncommon for me to tell my daughter that she should not play with her food at the dinner table.

Sometimes I feel like we all need a reminder not to play with our spiritual food.

The bible teaches that the word of God is our food.

In fact, it says “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)

The truth is it’s a gift from God that shows us where we should go and how we can find true righteousness and peace with Him.

And no wonder!

He knows it all.

He created us.

He knows what’s best for us.

If we cannot stand on the truth and clarity and verity of God’s word then there’s no real truth is there?

And if we don’t accept that truth, than how can we know what’s best for us?

It could be that you’re wrestling with the existence or value of Jesus Christ.

I ask you to consider this.

Why do you have an urge to find truth?

How do you know things just aren’t right?

Why do you experience guilt and restlessness?

I believe these are the life signals that alert us that God is real and we need Him.

There’s a yearning to be with Him.

We are all – whether we believe it or not – looking for truth.

That is not debatable.

The existence of science proves we naturally want to explain “why?”

Please, don’t take Jesus out of the equation. He paid a mighty big price for you – because he loves you sooooo much!

And he is the truth personified.

If you want truth, you want Jesus.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

-John 3:16
