WILL POWER

I’ve been running a lot lately. I mean a lot. And it’s interesting how often I feel like I just won’t finish. But I always hear the Lord saying, “I’m your strength.”

I’m realizing that more often than not, we do this in every aspect of our lives. We’re running. We have kids and appoinments. We have responsibility at work or church. We have family concerns and personal struggles.

And we want to give up.

I want to encourage you!

God is your strength. He is your Guide. And He’ll never give up on you!

This morning He put it this way. It’s all about WILL POWER.

This is another way to look at it: GOD’S WILL + YOUR SURRENDER = POWER.

If we simply stop trying to do all the running ourselves and we let Him take the controls, we’ll find our destiny.

Maybe you’ve been wondering if you’ll ever reach your destiny or the goal you’ve set.

Let me tell you, if it’s God’s will… if He put the goal or destiny in your heart, it will happen!

1 Thessalonians 5:24 reads, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”

Psalm 138:6-9 reads, “Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble,

but he keeps his distance from the proud. Though I am surrounded by troubles,

you will protect me from the anger of my enemies.

You reach out your hand,

and the power of your right hand saves me. The Lord will work out his plans for my life—

for your faithful love, O Lord , endures forever.

Don’t abandon me, for you made me.”

It’s been called the “sweet surrender.”

It seems like it will hurt. But actually it feels good.

Give in to what God is doing. And let Him take control!

I pray in the name of Jesus that you will not frustrate God’s plan for your life. And I pray you will reach the mountaintop for His glory.

Amen!
