Hello brothers and sisters!
Grace and peace unto each of you and your households.

We’re about to begin a major prayer project at our church World Victory International Christian Center. Each and every member, from the littlest ones to the oldest, will be asked to pray for one unsaved person they know. The idea is to pray for their hearts to be softened to the truth of Jesus Christ and for them to come to know the Lord and surrender to His will for their lives!

This project will be unveiled to the entire church in the next couple weeks.

What can you do in the meantime?

Director of Evangelism Jonathan Sibley myself are embarking on a 21-day fast. We will abstain from eating all breads, sweets and meats. We’re beginning this fast on Tuesday September 4, the day after Labor Day beginning at 6 a.m. We will conclude Monday September 24 at 6 p.m.

Would you join us?

The bible is clear that we have power in our prayer and fasting (read Isaiah 58).

If you’re not feeling released to fast in the same fashion, please consider refraining from all sweets, secular music, television and computer use and commit that time to prayer.

Here it is in a nutshell:

Occupy Heaven Fast

Salvation and Revival!

Time period:
Tuesday 9/4 6:00 a.m. – Monday 9/24 6:00 p.m.

Focus scriptures:
Acts 2:21 – And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 12:5 – Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

I’m also planning for fellowship/interest meeting for our church evangelism ministry for the near future. Stay tuned for that.

I feel the Lord is calling us to pray on behalf of our loved ones and co-workers. Let’s pray for them just as people prayed for us before we came to know Jesus!

Bless you all!

Below is an exerpt of an email I sent to our Evangelism Ministry before a big outreach event on July 4th.

Recently, a man by the name of Lamonte Armstrong was released from prison after 17 years. He was wrongfully convicted of murder. So you might be wondering what is a have to do that evangelism? Well I think it’s extremely prophetic. When you consider Mr. Armstrong, sat behind bars for years and have no way out. But it took someone working on his behalf looking at the evidence to make sure the wrong person with in serving time in serving the consequences for someone else’s crime.

There were attorneys and teachers and professors and still working on behalf of Mr. Armstrong looking at the evidence trying to determine what had been missed that the prosecutor and the judge would have to consider and prove that he is innocent.

We are called to do the same thing as disciples of Jesus Christ!

Each of us are called in to see on behalf of people were living in the midst of God’s grace and don’t know what there is evidence the date been set free but it hasn’t been discovered by their heart yet.

Our job as their defense attorneys or their professors and teachers is to bring them into the bosom of God’s love. Every case is different. Just like every person is different. Every past is different.

We can plead their case with the judge in prayer and plead with the unbeliever one-on-one and tell them that they don’t have to serve time living in anguish and broken hearted any longer because their advocate, Jesus Christ, has already won the victory for them!

Think about it this way. There have been nearly 300 people set free as a result of the nationwide Innocence Project. And this is in a matter of the last 10 to 15 years.

It is not only miraculous in terms of what we can see with the natural eye. But it is also a prophetic example of what God is about to do!

He is giving us a glimpse of how He is preparing to set freak out was people who is not yet had their appeal in court because they have not yet as Jesus Christ into their hearts.

They’re living in prison. But He has already prepared for their freedom!

Let us walk in love and expectation on July 4th.

I invite you to fast and pray with me using Isaiah 61:1 as our focus scripture.

Isaiah 61:1 NKJV

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound”

Declare this anointing over yourself!

And get ready for some fireworks in the Spirit!

Ever noticed that people who believe the impossible have the most impact?

As we approach the MLK holiday, I’m beginning to develop a renewed appreciation for Dr. King as a revolutionary.

He believed a system – a belief system could be toppled – because he knew it was wrong. And he believed it was wrong in the eyes of God.

He was stirred in his spirit to the point he could no longer ignore it.

I believe he developed a resolve to withstand beatings and abuse from all angles.

In a story in Mark 9, Jesus’ disciples were confronted with the impossible themselves.

A boy was possessed and oppressed by a spirit – much like America was possessed and oppressed by hatred.

The disciples tried to cast it out – to no avail.  But when the boy’s father came to Jesus, he said:

“I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

     -Mark 9:24b (NIV)

The boy’s father was acknowledging he knew what was possible, because his situation just wasn’t right.

But he also acknowledged he didn’t have the faith to do what was necessary to change it.

The good news is in Jesus’ response to this situation (as always):

“Everything is possible for one who believes.”

     -Mark 9:23b (NIV)

I’m praying that I will be able to see situations like Jesus does.

I’m expecting a revolution!

I believe the world is God’s and that He wants all to believe in Jesus Christ.

But to demonstrate my faith, I have to be willing to lose – just as Dr. King did, and Christ.

I may not have to give it all, my life. But to overcome the world, I’ve got to be willing to give up my affections for this world.

Can you believe?

Who is connected to you that needs to hear and see the goodness of Jesus?

Is it you?

I want to assure you that Jesus won’t disappoint you like everything else in this world that we trust.

Your past disappointments are not an example of how companionship with Jesus works.

Don’t let the pains of the past turn your heart cold toward His love.

Blessings to you all…
